Most plaints on property IDs, sewerage, water at Samadhan camps in Sonepat
Property IDs, water, sewerage and streetlights are among the major problems raised by residents during the ‘Samadhan Shivir’ launched by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at the municipal bodies in the state.
175 received in one week
As many as 175 complaints were received during the ‘Samadhan Shivir’ held in a week in Sonepat of which 68 have been resolved while 100 complaints have been sent to the officials concerned to resolve these at the earliest.
Following the Chief Minister's order, Samadhan Shivirs are being organised in all municipal bodies, including Municipal Corporation (MC), Sonepat and at municipal bodies at Kundli, Ganaur, Gohana and Kharkhoda.

As per sources, 45 per cent complaints were related to property IDs, while 15 per cent to water and sewerage, 10 per cent to streetlights while others were on miscellaneous issues at Sonepat Municipal Corporation.
Vishram Kumar Meena, Commissioner, MC, on Wednesday reviewed the pending complaints and also directed the officials to resolve people’s grievances on priority.
Meena said it was a good initiative of the state government and they were receiving good number of complainants.
As many as 45 per cent complaints were resolved on the spot while a specific time period on every complaint was mentioned and all officials were directed to resolve the issues within the set time period mentioned on the complaint, Commissioner Meena added.
A total of 175 complaints were received till Wednesday of which 68 were resolved while others were sent to the concerned wing with specific time period to resolve the matter, the Commissioner asserted. He further said a total of four complaints had been rejected so far.
On the seventh day on Wednesday, a total of eight complaints were received of which one was resolved on the spot while the other seven were sent to MC wings concerned, he said.
After reviewing the seven days reports, the Commissioner directed the officers to send the interim reports about the pending complaints to the Commissioner’s office immediately.
Meena said zero tolerance was being adopted on the complaints received at the ‘Samadhan Shivir’. If any officer or employees delayed in resolving the complaints, strict action would be taken against them.
The officials should ensure that as and when they received the complaint, the work should start on it the same day, Meena said.
