MoS calls for action against hospitals not accepting Ayushman Cards
Gaurav Gautam, Minister of State for Sports, Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship on Thursday directed Health Department officials to initiate strict action against private hospitals that were not accepting Ayushman Cards so that the people do not need to move from here to there for their treatment. He said that the government had launched this scheme for the treatment of poor people, that’s why no compromise in this scheme would be tolerated.
Minister Gautam was chairing the first meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee, after assuming the charge of Minister in the BJP government and resolved 17 complaints out of 21 complaints. MLA Nikhil Madaan, MLA Pawan Kharkhoda, MLA Devender Kadyan, BJP district president Jasbeer Dodwa, DC Manoj Kumar along with other officials were present during the meeting. Pramila of Deepalpur village, in his complaint, said that her husband Hardeep Singh got ill and she admitted him to a private hospital where he died during treatment after three days. She showed Ayushman Card to the hospital but they refused this card and took Rs 4 lakh for the treatment. Following the complaint, the minister directed the Deputy Civil Surgeon to conduct an inquiry, take action against the hospital and refund the amount to the complainant.
The Minister of State also directed the officials of the Urban Local bodies department to initiate action against the CSC Centre owners, who were demanding money for correction in property IDs after getting a complaint.
He directed the district town planner (DTP) to stop illegal construction in the district and also initiate action against the violators.
The Minister of State also directed installation of lights on the railway under-bridge on the Gohana-Jind road at the earliest on the complaint of Raj Singh of Gohana. He directed officials of the Municipal Corporation (MC) and the PWD for repair of Kakroi road. He asked MLA Nikhil Madaan and officials to carry out an inspection of the Hindu College railway flyover.
