Montfort School, Roorkee, celebrates annual day for primary section
The school celebrated its annual day for the primary section with a vibrant showcase of talent, creativity, and teamwork. Themed around the motto of the school, “Happiness + Excellence + Achievement + Love”, the event brought together students, teachers, and parents in a lively atmosphere of celebration. The school’s multipurpose hall resonated with applause as the young participants brought the stage alive with their performances. The day began with a lively band by students of the primary section, setting an upbeat tone for the celebrations. Principal Reverend Brother Albert Abraham, accompanied by the chief guest and other dignitaries, set things in motion by lighting the ceremonial lamp, marking the beginning of yet another journey in the pursuit of knowledge, growth, and unity. The chief guest, Swapn Kishor, SP, Rural, was then warmly welcomed by the principal. The programme started with a serene prayer dance, instilling a sense of peace and unity among the audience. This was followed by a thoughtful skit, where the little ones conveyed important life lessons, reminding everyone that “from small beginnings come great things”. A delightful series of performances like the heart-warming welcome song and an energetic dance based on financial prudence, followed, symbolising the value of hard work and financial responsibility. The students went on to highlight the spirit of achievement through their ‘Excellence Dance’, while the ‘Achievements Dance’, reinforced the idea that “excellence is not a skill, it is an attitude”. A touch of drama was added by the students with their melodramatic performances, keeping the audience entertained and engaged. The powerful song performance, ‘Glory to Thee Dance’, served as a reminder that “all glory comes from daring to begin”. Finally, the grand finale performances, titled ‘Rejoice - Grand Finale’, concluded the event on a high note, as the students danced joyously, embodying the essence of unity in diversity. The programme ended with a vote of thanks, and the day served as a reminder that “teamwork makes the dream work”.
