Mohali lad secures AIR 2 in Army’s Technical Entry Scheme exam
Adding yet another feather to the cap of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI) here, Karman Singh Talwar, a cadet of the institute, secured the second rank in the All India merit list for the Technical Entry Scheme (TES-52) of the Indian Army. Three others — Manas Taneja, Aniket Sharma and Suryavardhan Singh — from the institute achieved All-India Ranks (AIR) 22, 31 and 37, respectively.
The TES trains candidates for branches, including Engineers, Signals and Electrical Mechanical Engineering (EME). TES candidates receive training at Pune (Maharashtra), Mhow (Madhya Pradesh) and Secunderabad (Telangana).
Congratulating the cadets on their achievement, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora said this was a proud moment for the state.
MRSAFPI’s director Major General Ajay H Chauhan, VSM, also congratulated the cadets.
