Punjab police crack Mohali grenade attack case, 5 arrested

Announcing arrest of 5 persons, Punjab DGP VK Bhawra today claimed the entire conspiracy behind the RPG attack case on Police Intelligence Headquarters has been solved. “All the persons behind the attack have been identified, but the three persons who carried out the attack were yet to be arrested,” he said. He disclosed identity of only one of the three attackers. He is Charan Singh. The DGP said identity of others was withheld due to ongoing investigation.
DGP VK Bhawra said Lakhbir Singh, alias Landa, from Tarn Taran district, a close associate to gangster turned terrorist Harvinder Sinh Rinda had hatched the conspiracy. The DGP said they work for the Babbar Khalsa International and ISI in Pakistan. Main accused Lakhbir Singh, alias Landa, is in Canada. He has made several ransom calls recently to singers and businessmen recently.
Lakhbir Singh’s other associates are Nishan Singh and Charan Singh, both from Tarn Taran. Nishan Singh was recently arrested by the Faridkot police. Nishan got the rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) from Landa and gave it to three persons.
