MLA: Will deliver Swachh Gurugram within 100 days
As the Gurugram residents wait with huge expectations and anticipation for a transformation, city MLA Mukesh Sharma has given a one-month deadline to MCG officials to set things right.
Having missed a berth in the cabinet, Sharma who is amongst the top winners in Haryana Assembly elections claimed that he would deliver Swachh Gurugram within 100 days. “You don’t need any ministry to work. I have been active on the sanitation front even before being an MLA. I have given myself 100 days to restore the city to its glory and will deliver,” he said .
Mukesh said that the biggest onus lay on civic officials who visibly were not working upto their potential.
“This is the millennium city and we have the richest and biggest MCG. You now are now even free from Manesar’s responsibility. There is no excuse not to perform.” said Mukesh while addressing MCG officials. “I give you one month, pull your act together, get on the ground, implement plans and show me improvement. If you fail I will penalise each official of the area. Leave Gurugram if you don’t want to work as there will be no free lunches,” he said.
