Under the ‘Khulla Darbar’ initiative, local MLA Bram Shanker Jimpa on Tuesday remained present for three hours at the Municipal Corporation complex to listen to public grievances pertaining to civic body besides instructing the officials concerned to amicably resolve the issues within the stipulated time-frame.

Reiterating the resolve of Punjab government to ensure transparent and hassle-free delivery of citizen-centric services, Jimpa said that there should be no inordinate delay in providing services related to Municipal Corporation. He mentioned that all the issues brought to his notice by the people were noted down and recorded in the complaint database vis-a-vis giving instructions to officials concerned for immediate resolution. He said that he would personally monitor the complaints and after a two-day gap, an action taken review report was to be sought from the officials. He informed that the maximum number of issues was related to the building branch of the corporation, which would be sorted out shortly as the MC Commissioner had been asked to keep a track to resolve them in a time-bound manner.

Saying that such steps for public facilitation will continue in future too, the MLA pointed out that there should be no laxity and dilly-dallying over the issues by the officials. He also urged the people to submit their files properly with requisite documents.
