MLA chairs PWD meet in Hamirpur
Officers of the Public Works Department must ensure pace in development works undertaken in the district.
This was stated by MLA Suresh Kumar while addressing review meeting of PWD officers here.
He said there should not be any delay in preparing detailed project reports of proposed works, so that they could be brought to ground on time. The preparation of DPRs was a must for early sanctions of funds for the execution of development projects, he added.
Satisfied with the progress of PMGSY, NABARD, CIRF and projects of state funds, the MLA, noting that all 248 panchayats had been connected with roads, said the challenge now was to bring road connectivity to all villages. He said many roads were pending construction following land disputes. He also pointed out the construction of 34 roads that would add link over 100 villages. He instructed officials to complete the construction of a tourism hotel, Government College (Dhaneta) and the bus stand on priority.
