MLA announces development projects for Ghuram village

Sanaur MLA Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra urged the central government to allocate funds for a four-lane road connecting Patiala to Ghuram village. Addressing mediapersons, the MLA highlighted the historical significance of the village and said that it is a symbol of religious unity as it shares a pilgrimage site for Hindu, Muslim, and Sikh communities.
He also said that the Mata Kaushalya village should not be overlooked and proposed the establishment of an international airport at Patiala in the memory of Mata Kaushalya. He stressed the need for an international airport here to elevate Ghuram village’s historical significance on a global level. “Efforts for comprehensive development are underway for Ghuram village under the leadership of CM Bhagwan Mann,” he said. “The development plans for the village include a historical lecture in the shrine to be held at Patiala Railway Station,” he added.
Pathanmajra also announced the formation of the Mata Kaushalya Trust and claimed that he had donated Rs 1 lakh for the construction of the Mata Kaushalya Mandir at the village.
