Shopkeepers in Dharamsala today downed their shutters in support of Hindu organisations that are protesting against the unauthorised construction of mosque in Shimla. The effect of the bandh varied in different parts of Dharamsala.

Most of the shopkeepers in the Kachehri market near the Mini-Secretariat of Dharamsala downed their shutters till afternoon. The affect of bandh was minimum in the Kotwali market area, while the shut down had a partial effect in other areas of the city.

None of the political parties or organisation had given the call for bandh. The sources here said that the bandh was organised by local beopar mandals.
