Balongi resident Chhote Lal has alleged the police have not done anything, except filing a DDR, to find his 18-year-old son Shivanshu, who went missing 32 days ago from Azad Nagar.

According to Chhote Lal, his son had gone for a walk outside on the night of May 23 but has not returned since then.

Lal alleged that the disappearance of his son was due to the involvement of some youths from Balongi, who had an argument with him about 15 days before his disappearance.

“The youths had beaten up my son with sticks then. Since my son went missing, they have also not been seen around,” he said.

Lal said he had lodged an application with the police regarding Shivanshu’s disappearance on which a DDR was registered by the Balongi police, but the police were not showing any interest in locating his son. According to Chhote Lal, the police do not allow him to enter the police station.

Balongi in-charge Rajpal Singh said a DDR had been registered. Investigation has revealed that the youth was a mentally unstable. The police would find him soon.
