Minor chokes on amla, dies; school manager booked
A four-year-old nursery class student, identified as Himansh, a student at a private school here, died after a piece of amla got stuck in his throat while at school.
The police have started the investigation, and a case has been registered against the school manager on charges of committing negligence.
Deepak of Sulodha village here, in his complaint filed with the police, claimed that his son picked up a fallen piece of amla from a tree, and ate it. The amla got stuck in Himansh's throat, causing him to die.
The school administration dropped him off at home instead of taking him to the hospital for treatment, he alleged.
"Later, we took Himansh to a hospital where the doctor removed the amla from his throat, and he was declared dead. The school management is responsible for this incident, hence, appropriate action should be taken against the guilty," said the complainant.
