Kurukshetra, August 2
Minister of State for Transport Aseem Goel today suspended an executive engineer of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UBHVN) over his alleged misbehaviour with a complainant. He also ordered the issuance of show-cause notices to two officials for being absent from the meeting of District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee.
The minister was chairing the meeting at the mini-secretariat in Kurukshetra.
During the meeting, XEN (operations), UHBVN, Himanshu Panwar allegedly mishbehaved with a complainant following which he was suspended. Meanwhile, the minister also issued directions to the Deputy Commissioner to issue show-cause notices to another XEN of the UHBVN and Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioner (DETC), Excise, for being absent from the meeting without prior information.
Goel said, “There were several complaints related to the Power Department but the official couldn’t give any satisfactory reply. His body language and the way of talking with the public was not good. Misbehaviour with public and that too before the chair in the meeting was not acceptable. Officials should be polite with the public.”
