Minister hears grievances of public at Gadawag village
On the lines of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s “Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar” programme, Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh today met people of Gadawag village in Shimla district and listened to their grievances. On the occasion, he also announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh from the MLA fund for development projects in Gadawag village.
During the event, the minister assured that the forest clearance for the Tavi-Gadawag road would be expedited. He said there would be no shortage of funds for the road construction.
He said a budget of Rs 20 lakh was allocated for the expansion of the Chaili Khurd road. “An amount of Rs 1.5 lakh has been allocated for the ambulance route from Chaili to Chanadi and Rs 75,000 for road improvements from Snog to Hyun village. Budget provision for a community building has also been made. Furthermore, solar lights will be installed from Summer Hill to Chaili at a cost of Rs 1.5 lakh.”
He further said demand had been made to upgrade the road from Salapad, Sunni to Lahuri to National Highway. The minister also inspected the sewage treatment plant located in Gadawag village. Local residents expressed concerns over ineffective operation of the plant.
