Minister asks officials to lodge case against TDI City officials
Krishan Bedi, Cabinet Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment, Schedule Caste and Backward Class Welfare and Antyodya, on Friday directed officials concerned to lodge a case against TDI City officials for depriving residents of facilities. He said all amenities promised by the TDI management should be provided to residents expeditiously.
Bedi was presiding over the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting held at the Mini-Secretariat here today.
As many as 12 complaints were received at the meeting and the minister resolved four complaints on the spot while eight complaints have been kept pending for the next meeting.
Residents of TDI City, in their complaints, alleged that the TDI management had promised them provision of electricity, roads, security and water, but had failed to do so.
Following their complaint, the Cabinet Minister directed the TDI City authorities to provide basic amenities to the residents and also directed the officials concerned to lodge a case against TDI city officials.
He also appealed to the complainants that the genuine complaints would be dealt with seriously and if any complaint is found fake, action would be initiated against the complainant also.
Dinesh Kaushik of Bal Jatan village said that he gave his land to the IOCL refinery and the IOCL had promised to hire his vehicle on contract but it didn’t. Finding the reply of the officials of IOCL unsatisfactory, the minister ordered departmental action against him and called a senior official in the next meeting.
Bijender of Raja Kheri village alleged that his baby was swapped at Rainbow Hospital in Model Town. He further alleged that he had filed a complaint with the police but the police didn’t register an FIR. The minister directed to bring the case in the next meeting so that all facts are arranged.
Former councillor Sanjeev Dahiya raised the issue of a congested bridge on two minor canals and the poor state of a road. The minister directed officials to reconstruct this road and bridge within seven months.
Former councillor Pramod Devi raised the issue of delay in construction of underpass on railway crossing 51-D and said that the work was pending for the last 2.5 years due to which thousands of people of Azaad Nagar and Raj Nagar were forced to face a lot of problems. The minister kept this matter pending for the next meeting.
Virender of Gandhi Nagar, in his complaint, said that one Ram Niwas Tayal had encroached a part of the street. Taking a serious note, the Cabinet Minister directed the Superintendent of Police (SP) to send personnel to remove the encroachment.
MLA, Panipat Urban, Pramod Vij, DC Virender Kumar Dahiya, SP Lokender Singh, ADC Pankaj Yadav, BJP district president Dushyant Bhatt and former councillor Lokesh Nangroo were also present during the meeting.
