Minister asks MC to expedite works in Yamunanagar, Jagadhri
Haryana Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana asked officers of the Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), to speed up development works.
At a meeting with officers of the MCYJ in Yamunanagar, he said they should take the development works and projects being done in the MCYJ area as their top priority.
He discussed in detail the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the open air theatre and auditorium, which is to be built by the MCYJ in Sector-17 of Jagadhri at a cost of Rs 52.87 crore.
He also discussed about development works being done under the Divya Nagar Yojana; 41,000 LED streetlights to be installed in the twin cities, solid waste management plant at Kail, beautification of road dividers from Bhagat Singh Chowk to Manakpur village, Agrasen Chowk to Rakshak Vihar Naka and other works and projects.
He directed the officers to allot development works so that those could be started soon.
“I asked officers of the MCYJ to speed up the development works being done in the twin cities. I also told them to complete the pending development works as soon as possible,” said Shyam Singh Rana.
Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha told the minister that soon a foundation stone-laying ceremony would be organised to start the construction work of the open air theatre and auditorium.
He said, “Development works are being done in every ward. Special attention is being paid to cleanliness. The MCYJ is trying to protect the twin cities' environment from pollution with the help of an anti-smog gun machine. I myself keep monitoring the development works related to the MCYJ,” said Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha.
The meeting was also attended by Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora, former Cabinet Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar, BJP district president Rajesh Sapra, former Mayor Madan Chauhan, Superintendent of Police Rajiv Deshwal and Deputy Municipal Commissioner Vijay Pal Yadav.
