The All Haryana Power Corporation Workers Union, aligned with the Sarv Karamchari Sangh, held a meeting in Sirsa to address ongoing employee issues and warned of potential protests if demands remain unmet. The session, led by Gulbag Singh, Sub-Urban unit head, highlighted several pressing concerns that have long affected workers.

Primary issues include inadequate wages for contract employees, which do not reflect their experience level, and insufficient transportation for field duties. Employees highlighted the struggle of performing tasks such as bill recovery, electricity theft inspections and in-home repairs without proper transport or tools. Gulbag Singh warned that if the authorities fail to take prompt action, the union is prepared to escalate efforts by organising protests at Sirsa’s sub-units.
