Rohtak: Maharshi Dayanand University dons protest delayed salaries
Rohtak, July 8
Faculty members of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, staged a protest demonstration over delay in the payment of their salaries on the university campus today.
“We have not got our salaries despite the release of a grant of Rs 37 crore by the state government for the university,” said Dr Vikas Siwach, the president of MDU Teachers Association.
He said the dharna would continue until the university teachers got their salaries and the state government agreed to give 100 per cent grant to ensure the payment of salaries to the teachers and non-teaching employees of state universities and pension to the retired ones.
The non-teaching employees of the university, however, did not participate in the protest as they had got their salaries.
