MCG Commissioner passes order to deduct 15-day salary of 4 officers
The Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation Gurugram, Narhari Singh Banger, has ordered to deduct 15-day salary of four officers of the civic body for negligence of duty.
While listening to a complaint in the ‘Samadhan’ camp, Banger instructed officers to resolve complaints of citizens immediately. He issued orders to deduct 15 days’ salary of 4 officers who did not listen to the grievances of the people. “It is negligence in duty due to which 15-day salary will be deducted from their monthly salary,” he said.
Some complainants had come from Ekta Wali Gali of Rajendra Park area in the ‘Samadhan’ camp organised in Zone-1 area. The residents complained that sewer lids in their streets were broken and despite repeatedly complaints, the problem was not being resolved by the civic body. The commissioner called the junior engineer on the spot, who was unable to give any satisfactory answer. A team was immediately instructed to replace the broken sewer lids. Besides, orders were given to deduct 15 days’ salary of Executive Engineer Sanjeev Kumar, Assistant Engineer Dalip Singh Yadav, Junior Engineers Satendra Kumar and Jaswinder Singh for negligence in their respective duties.
Meanwhile, on the second day of the’samadhan’ camps being organised by the MCG, a complainant’s complaint was resolved in just 35 seconds. Nitin Garg, a resident of Signature Solera Society located in Zone-2 of Gurugram, reached the camp with a complaint related to a correction in his property tax data. He said he had been making rounds of government offices for the last several days, but his complaint was not being resolved. Additional Commissioner and Chief Town Planner Satish Parashar, who was presiding over the camp, listened to the complaint carefully and corrected the complainant’s property tax data on the spot.
The MCG authorities revealed that a total of 37 complaints were received in the camps organised by the civic body on Wednesday, out of which two complaints related to property tax data correction were resolved on the spot, while for the other complaints, the complainants were given a time limit in which their issues would be resolved. Banger was present on the spot in the camps organised in Zone-1 and Zone-2 offices. Other officers including Additional Commissioner Satish Parashar and Joint Commissioner Pradeep Kumar were present along with him.
Complaint of broken sewer lids settled
- Residents from Rajendra Park area had complained to the MCG that sewer lids in their streets were broken and despite repeated complaints, the problem had not been resolved.
- The MCG commissioner called the junior engineer who was unable to give a satisfactory answer. A team was instructed to replace the broken sewer lids. Orders were given to deduct 15 days’ salary of Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer and 2 Junior Engineers.
