Municipal Corporation Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ) will give ownership rights to the occupants of the properties falling under ‘Lal Dora’ and ‘Abadi Deh’ areas of the MCYJ.

The MCYJ will also give property certificates to such occupants so that they can become the owners of their properties.

The MCYJ has constituted separate committees in every ward to undertake this work.

Former municipal councillors and MCYJ officials have been included in these committees.

Former municipal councillors have been made chairpersons of the committees of their wards. There are 22 wards in the MCYJ areas. Municipal Engineer (ME) Muneshwar Bhardwaj has been appointed as member secretary of the committee from Ward No 1 to 7, ME Deepak Sukhija from Ward No 8 to 15 and ME Kuldeep Yadav from Ward No 16 to 22. According to information, these committees will hold meetings or programmes in their respective wards.

Lists ready

  • The list will be displayed at public places in their respective wards and on the MCYJ site

They shall take documents from the occupants to start the process of giving ownership rights and property certificates of properties falling under Lal Dora and Abadi Deh areas.

Deputy Municipal Commissioner Dr Vijay Pal Yadav also held a meeting with chairpersons of the committees and officials of the MCYJ recently.

He said that the lists of properties located in Lal Dora and Abadi Deh had been provided to the committees of the wards.

He further said chairpersons of the committees and the officials of the MCYJ had been asked to hold meetings in their respective wards and inform the occupants of the properties shown in the list about the government scheme.

“The committees will publish the list of such properties at public places in their respective wards.The list will also be published on the site of the MCYJ,” said Dr Vijay Pal Yadav.

Objections would be taken related to the properties mentioned in the lists upto 15 days. He further said that the appeal of the objections would be heard by the committees of each ward. He added that after hearing the objections, they would be settled and the final list would be prepared.

“The ownership rights and property certificates will be given to those occupants whose names appear in the final list,” said Yadav.
