MC catches 12 stray cattle in Y’nagar

Continuing its efforts to make the twin cities Yamunanagar and Jagadhri free of stray cattle, a team of Municipal Corporation Yamunanagar Jagadhri (MCYJ) caught 12 stray cattle from Ward 20 today.

Chief Sanitary Inspector Sunil Dutt said that the MCYJ had launched a campaign to catch stray cattle. He said a team had caught stray cattle roaming in various places including in Sasauli village, on the main road of Sasauli village and in Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar in Ward 20 of the MCYJ.

He further said that after catching the stray cattle, they were left at the gaushala in Jagadhri after loading them in a vehicle of the MCYJ.

“Our aim is to make the twin cities free of stray cattle, therefore this drive of catching stray cattle of the MCYJ will continue in future too,” said CSI Sunil Dutt.

Several teams have been formed under the leadership of CSI Harjeet Singh in zone-1 and CSI Sunil Dutt in zone-2 to catch the stray cattle on the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha.

Deputy Municipal Commissioner Dr Vijay Pal Yadav said the Municipal Corporation gave fodder expenses to the operators of gaushalas at the rate of Rs 30 per animal per day, so that the stray cattle could be taken care of properly. He said that all the stray animals roaming in the different areas of the MCYJ would be caught.
