Mann campaigns for AAP candidate Dr Ishank in Chabbewal
Campaigning for the Chabbewal Assembly by-election at Mehtiana today, Chief Minister Bhagwant called upon party workers and supporters to unite for the victory of the party. Mann said that the AAP candidate Dr Ishank is young, understands the problems of the constituency and is ready to work hard to resolve them. Whatever work relating to Chabbewal constituency will be taken up by him, approval will be granted without any hindrance, he assured.
The CM also hinted at implementing the scheme of giving Rs 1,100 to women. When the CM started to address the volunteers, some women were standing in pandal at the back behind the chairs, while a large number of youths were sitting on chairs. The CM asked them to leave their chairs and give their seats to women. Mann said that the youth should leave their chairs for the women, because they will start getting Rs 1,100 and they will have to take it from them later. This is my next mission, just like the zero electricity bill scheme was started, in the same way women will start getting Rs 1,100 every month. The CM said he would make an announcement in this regard after arranging for funds. The Mahilpur stadium would be given for Indian Football League and the stadium would be developed as a world class stadium, he added.
The Chief Minister mentioned many important schemes implemented by the Punjab government. He said employment opportunities have been created for the youth and the people have got relief after waiving the electricity bill. Basic health services are being provided free of cost through the Aam Aadmi Clinic. The state government has given a Diwali gift to the people of the state by removing the condition of NOC for the registration of plots.
In his address, AAP candidate Dr Ishan Kumar said that his priority would be to ensure the all-round development of Chabbewal, in which education, health, employment and improvement in infrastructure would figure prominently.
Member of Parliament Dr Rajkumar expressed the confidence that the AAP would win the Chabbewal Assembly seat by a huge margin. He said the victory will not only show people’s faith in the party policies but also show the general public’s acceptance of the development work done by him in the constituency.
