A meeting was recently convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan to discuss the arrangements for the Agniveer recruitment rally, scheduled to take place at the Paddal ground in Mandi district from November 18 to 24.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Rohit Rathour, along with officials from various departments such as Public Works, Electricity, Municipal Corporation and Jal Shakti, as well as military representatives attended the meeting held in the VC room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, .

Devgan emphasised the administration'’s commitment to ensuring the successful organisation of the rally.

Responsibilities for various departments were assigned to facilitate the event, and officials were instructed to make all necessary arrangements for the convenience of the participating youth.

Post-Diwali, the DC plans to assess the preparations at the ground with the department officials concerned to ensure that there are no shortcomings in the organisation of the rally.

Colonel DS Samant, the Recruitment Director of the Army Recruitment Office in Mandi, provided detailed information about the recruitment process. He said over 3,300 youngsters from Mandi, Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti districts were expected to participate in the rally.

District Health Officer Dr Dinesh Thakur, Senior Executive Engineer of the Electricity Board Rajesh Kumar, Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department DK Verma, Youth Services and Sports Officer Dipti Vaidya and DSP Dinesh Kumar were among those who attended the meeting.
