A shocking incident of a man being taken hostage has come to light in Ludhiana’s New Janata Nagar. The man Nirmaljit Singh was held captive inside his own home for two weeks by three individuals, including a woman.

The accused, Lakhbir Kaur, Prakash Singh and Soni, allegedly locked up Nirmaljit inside his house and threatened to harm him. The situation arose from a property dispute, with Lakhbir Kaur claiming ownership of the house.

Nirmaljit’s family members would secretly pass him food through the bars. The hostage situation ended when the police intervened, following orders from the High Court.

The investigation revealed that Lakhbir Kaur, along with her accomplices, had been trying to take control of the property. The police have arrested the accused and are investigating the matter.
