Man, son run over by car, 2 nabbed

Angered over being objected to their indecent behaviour, two youths ran over a salon owner and his father with the intention to kill them as they had reportedly stopped the youths from misbehaving with the employees of the salon.

The police have arrested both accused after registering a case against them. According to information, Jagjit Singh, a resident of Guru Kirat Colony on Chandigarh Road, told the police that his son Abhayjit Singh runs a salon near the old court. On October 15 late in the evening, Gurwinder Singh Dhillon and Jagjit Singh, both residents of Chhota Bajwara, allegedly misbehaved with the employees of their salon, including girls. When he questioned the accused for their behaviour, they fled.

The complainant said after this, he, along with his son, chased the accused and stopped them on Sutehri Road when they were getting into the car. When he asked the accused the reason for their behaviour, the accused ran the car over them and injured them. The people around admitted them to the hospital. Seeing the critical condition of his son, he was admitted to a private hospital. The police have registered a case against both and arrested them.
