Acting on a complaint submitted to the Commissioner of Police (CP), Panchkula, the police have booked a father-son duo under the Arms Act for allegedly uploading pictures and videos while brandishing guns and opening fire from them on their social media handle.

According to the complainant, 48-year-old Gurdarshan Singh and his 22-year-old son Gurtej Singh, residents of Charni village, Kalka, had allegedly been uploading pictures and videos of firing weapons on social media platform of Gurtej Singh. The complainant, mentioning that any such act was discriminating and attracted criminal action against the culprits as per the directions of the Supreme Court, also requested the police to seize weapons of the suspects.

A case has been registered against the duo under Sections 25 (1-B) (a) and 29 (B) of the Arms Act and Section 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita in this connection.
