Man murdered over debt of Rs 500 in Faridabad
Salaudin (42), a resident of Chandpur village, was allegedly murdered over a debt of Rs 500 on Saturday night. He was found dead near his house.
Mustaq, the victim’s brother, told the police that Salaudin, who had been living in the village for the past eight years, had borrowed the money from Pawan, a local resident, for some work.
Mustaq alleged that on Saturday evening, Pawan and a friend invited Salaudin to a party, during which Salaudin paid for the liquor and other items. However, when he failed to repay the debt at that moment, Pawan and his friend assaulted him. It is alleged that the attackers later left Salaudin unconscious outside his house and fled.
Salaudin, a father of six and the sole breadwinner of his family, is said to have died from his injuries before he could be taken to the hospital. The police, who have registered a case, have arrested Pawan, the main accused, while another suspect remains at large.
