Man killed in road mishap

A man was killed when his motorcycle was allegedly hit by a car near Jubbal village of Radaur subdivision in Yamunanagar district today.

The deceased has been identified as Vikas (40) of Kanjanu village of the district. Bir Singh of Kanjanu village told the police that his nephew worked as a munshi (clerk) at the timber market (lakkar mandi) in Yamunanagar. He said when he reached near Jubbal village, his motorcycle was hit by a car.He further said he sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Civil Hospital, Yamunanagar, where he died.

After a postmortem at Civil Hospital, Yamunanagar, the body was handed over to his kin. A case has been registered against an unidentified car driver at the Radaur police station.
