The Kurukshetra police have arrested a Punjab resident in connection with the recovery of 54 kg chura post last year.

The accused has been identified as Buta Singh, a resident of Ludhiana in Punjab. He was produced before a court which sent him to jail.

A Kurukshetra police spokesman said, “On December 8, last year, the anti-narcotic cell of the district police had recovered 54 kg chura post from a truck during the inspection on the national highway. Truck driver Baldev Singh, a resident of Punjab, was arrested and a case was registered under the NDPS act at the Thanesar Sadar police station. On Friday, a team of ANC arrested drug supplier Buta Singh in connection with the recovery of narcotics and he was sent to jail.”
