Man gets life term for killing wife

The Additional District and Sessions Judge Bikramjit Aroura has awarded life term to a man for murdering his wife in Bhiwani district.
The police spokesperson said the convict, Dinesh, a resident of Mansarbas village in Bhiwani district, had lodged a false complaint of his wife missing in 2021 at the Kairu police post in Bhiwani district.
During investigation, the police came to know that Dinesh was having an affair with another woman and he strangled his wife to death and threw her body in the Khubru canal in Sonepat district.
The Tosham police registered a case of murder under Section 302 and 201 of the IPC against him on October 8, 2021 and arrested him.
The ASDJ convicting the accused awarded life term under Section 302 and seven years jail term under Section 201 of the IPC and also imposed a fine of Rs 1.10 lakh on him.
