Man found dead, woman arrested
A man was found dead in a house at Durga Colony in Dhandari Khurd here under mysterious circumstances. On the complaint of the deceased’s wife, a case on the charge of abetment to suicide was registered against the woman at whose house the victim was found dead.
The suspect was identified as Chandarkala, a resident of Durga Colony.
The complainant, Sunita Devi, wife of the deceased, told the police that her husband Nagender Kumar Bharti had gone to market on October 2 but did not return home.
She said when she called on the mobile phone of her husband, a woman, Chandarkala, picked up the phone and told her that Nagender was lying unconscious at her house in Durga Colony.
“I rushed to the house of the woman and found my husband lying dead there. She had kept him in her custody against his wishes,” the woman said
“He was not letting him to leave due to which he decided to end his life by hanging in the house of the woman,” she added.
The victim’s wife in a statement to the police alleged that the suspect had forced her husband to die by suicide and strict action should be taken against her.
Investigating officer in the case assistant sub-inspector of police (ASI) Rajinder Singh said after registering a case against the woman, she was arrested on Friday.
