Man ends life, six booked

The Samrala police on Sunday registered a case against six persons after a man ended his life. He recorded a video clip and accused six persons for taking the extreme step.

The accused have been identified as Mewa Ram, Jasvir Singh alias Dholi, Jeet Ram, Jora Ram of Basti Dhilwan Samrala, Lakha Ram of Samrala and Satinder Singh Happy of Kalal Majra, Khanna.

Complainant Sammi, wife of the deceased Bugga Ram, alleged on December 14, her husband consumed some poisonous substance. He was husband was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment where he breathed his last yesterday, she said.

The complainant added that her husband had also left behind a video suicide note in which he termed the abovesaid persons responsible for his death. After registering a case, the police have launched further investigation into the case.
