A Palam Vihar resident was duped of Rs 4.30 lakh in the name of buying an auctioned embassy car. An FIR was registered at the cybercrime west police station.

According to the complaint, filed by Prateek Jain, a man Aman Bajaj, contacted him through WhatsApp call on June 21. The caller claimed that he owned the Royal Trading Company and the Jungle Club House and sold auctioned cars of different embassies. “I trusted his word andtransferred Rs 4.30 lakh to his account in three transactions between July 8 and August 18. Later, he said the auction had been cancelled,” he said in his complaint.
