The 65th Punjab Zonal Youth and Heritage Fest hosted by Government College Girls, Ludhiana, was in full swing on its fourth day. Students participated in various competitions showing positivity and exuberance. On the fourth day, classical dance, group dance, folk dance, Kavishri, Vaar singing, Kali singing, heritage quiz, creative writing and hand-writing competitions were conducted.

Ashok Parashar, MLA (Ludhiana Central); Madan Lal Bagga, MLA (Ludhiana North); Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, Punjab Agriculture University, and Dr Gurpreet Kaur, principal (retd), SCD Government College, Ludhiana, were the chief guests. Manjit Kaur Sodhia, Indra Bhatia, Rameshinder Bal, Sunil Vohra, Chiranjeevi and Dr Ajit Kaur were the special guests for the day. Principal Suman Lata honoured the chief and special guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Parashar lauded the efforts of the college principal for hosting the youth festival in an organised way. Parashar congratulated the prize winners and motivated the students to keep up the hard work in future also.

Dr Gosal said that the younger generation had a special contribution to make in preserving heritage. He appreciated and congratulated college principal for conducting the youth festival and motivated the students to stay connected with their culture and heritage.
