A man parked his Swift car outside the ICICI Bank branch near the Vishwakarma Chowk on Thursday and entered the bank. But when he returned after some time, a bag containing Rs 14 lakh, laptop and some other important documents were allegedly found missing. He immediately informed the police, which immediately reached the spot and during a preliminary probe, the cops termed the matter suspicious.

A plastic carry bag trader Yashik Singla, a resident of Ahmedgarh, said that he had come in a Swift car to deposit the loan instalment in the bank near Jhandu Tower. When he went inside the bank to do the same, the bank employees asked him to go to another branch. He said when he came out of the bank and opened the door of his car, he was shocked to see his bag missing.

The SHO, Police Division 6, Inspector Rajesh Thakur said that the investigation was on to crack the case. The CCTV cameras were also being scanned to get a clue in the case, he added.
