Three masked miscreants loot silver, cash from jewellery shop

Three masked robbers targeted a jewellery shop on the Karabara road on Wednesday. The miscreants looted silver jewellery and cash from the kin of the jeweller at gunpoint. The incident got captured in CCTV cameras installed at the shop.

As per information, Rahul, uncle of the owner of Sonika Jewellers, was sitting at the shop when three robbers entered it. The miscreants came on a scooter and a motorcycle. When the robbers came, they pointed a pistol at Rahul and asked him to give the jewellery and cash kept in the shop. When he tried to oppose them, they threatened to shoot him. Later, the miscreants fled the scene after taking 100 gm of silver ornaments and Rs 2,000 in cash. Afterwards, the victim raised the alarm and informed the police. Later, officials from the Daresi police station reached the scene. On the basis of CCTV footage, the police started a probe.

SHO, Daresi, Inspector Avtar Singh, said the police launched a probe and the suspects would be arrested soon. “We have got the CCTV footage. So far, a case has been registered against unidentified miscreants,” he said.
