Students present demands to Spl Chief Secy to CM
Agriculture students, under the leadership of vice-chancellor of the university Dr SS Gosal, submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister’s Special Chief Secretary, VK Singh.
Student leaders Angrej Maan, Harman Maan and Akash Chaudhary met the Special Chief Secretary to CM and conveyed their demands. They also requested a meeting with the Chief Minister.
Singh assured the protesters that discussions regarding their demands would take place and the VC would soon engage with them. The protest will continue till the demands are met, said the Agricultural Students Association. The students are demanding mandatory inclusion of agriculture as a subject from grade VI to X and the recruitment of agriculture teachers, as well as fulfilling promises made to agricultural supervisors.
