State’s teachers eligibility test to be held on Dec 1
The Punjab State Teachers Eligibility Test is scheduled to take place on December 1. This time new subjects such as art and craft, physical education, home science, Urdu, music, and Sanskrit have been introduced in Paper II for aspiring teachers to choose from.
In Ludhiana district, 28 centres will conduct the examination under the supervision of DEO Dimple Madam and Deputy DEO Jaswinder Singh, who will also be the nodal officer.
As per the available information, the question paper will carry multiple-choice questions for one mark each, and no negative marking will be done. Paper I would be for candidates of classes I-V, while Paper II will be for the teachers of classes VI-VIII. The syllabus has already been shared with the candidates.
In paper 1, there will be 150 questions based on child development, prodigy, Punjabi, English, math, and environmental studies. Every section will have 30 questions each, and for science and math teachers, there would be 60 separate questions each.
The exam will be given on OMR sheets, and no candidate will be allowed to take pens, blank sheets, mobile phones, digital watches, electronic gadgets etc, only a transparent water bottle, along with the admit card and photo proof, will be allowed in the examination hall.
The candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria specific to the paper they choose. To qualify, candidates need to achieve at least 60 per cent (90 out of 150 marks).
