The Jagraon Sadar police yesterday registered a case against six individuals who had allegedly took away an SUV after pushing the driver out during a test drive. As per information, on Saturday morning, the police recovered the vehicle from Moga Road, but the accused were yet to be arrested.

Complainant Mandeep Kaur, a resident of Mangal Enclave Colony, Jagraon, in a statement to the police stated that her husband Maninder Singh had gone to New Zealand and about two years ago he bought the SUV from Moga. The same car was given to their acquaintance Shamsher Singh of Kothe Sherjung. Kaur added that they would often rent the car for Rs 3,000 per day.

On Friday, morning, Shamsher got a call from a person who wanted to take the SUV on rent. Her brother Gurtej Singh took it from Shamsher and reached Sidhwan Bet road, where the prospective clients had come to see the vehicle. The woman alleged that an acquaintance Goldie Dala fled with the accused in the SUV.
