Remembering the great sacrifice of four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh, Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Park, Ludhiana, organised ‘vidyarthi chetna march’. It was organised under the patronage of Nankana Sahib Education Trust. The students and teachers of Nankana Sahib Public School, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College and Guru Nanak Dev Polytechnic College, Science & Technology and students of ITI participated in it. The event started with shabad kirtan at the gurdwara on the Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College campus. It was followed by path of Chaupai Sahib, Anand Sahib and ardas. To make people aware about the great sacrifice, the students were holding placards in their hands.

Session on women health

In a stride towards prioritising women’s health, BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School organised an awareness session on breast health and well-being for its female teaching staff. The initiative aimed to educate and spark conversations on critical health concerns that are often overlooked. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in the presence of resource persons Dr Sheerin Shah, plastic surgeon, Dr Sandhya Sood, distinguished radiation oncologist (DMCH), and Dr Sumeet Jain, oncosurgeon (DMCH). Dr Shah addressed cosmetic and reconstructive concerns, empowering women with knowledge about non-oncological aspects. Dr Sood emphasised life-saving importance of early detection in breast cancer prevention, while Dr Jain explained advanced breast conservation techniques that were revolutionising cancer treatment.

Annual sports day at Shamrock

Shamrock Christian Senior Secondary School, Hambran road, celebrated its annual sports day on the sprawling ground of the school. It was a day filled with fervor and exhilaration, amid thrills and cheers. The whole school was decorated with colourful buntings, balloons and house flags. The event commenced with the felicitation of the principal P Singh and members of the managing committee. She laid emphasis on the importance of sports in a student's life followed by a brief report of the sports activities and achievement of the school. The ceremonial torch was lit and was followed by a march-past by students. The opening ceremony started off with a beautiful dance performance. The KG section presented a wonderful dance followed by a field drill by students of Classes I and II. The students also came up with a karate performance. Students also took part in variety of races such as bunny race, hurdle race, sack race, monkey race, hop race, fish race, relay race, etc.
