Ludhiana: Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, Basti Jodhewal, Ludhiana, celebrated the 96th birth anniversary of their beloved cartoon character Mickey Mouse with pomp and show on the school premises. The school was decorated with various Disney characters. Children came dressed as their favourite cartoon characters. The entire foundational stage atmosphere became enchanting with the presence of little Spider Man, Donald Duck, fairies, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and many more. Interestingly, an inflatable Mickey Mouse was seen distributing treats and chocolates to the kids. A ‘Micky Mouse mask-making’ activity was organised for the students of classes P-Nursery to KG. They sang a ‘Happy Birthday’ cong for Mickey Mouse.

Peace Public School

Peace Public School’s annual function unfolded as a vibrant showcase of talent and creativity, leaving the audience mesmerised. The event was graced by chief guest Col Pushp Raj Pandey, alongside the distinguished presence of Prof SC Jain (chairman), Usha Jain (director), and the principal. The evening began with a serene prayer dance, setting a tone of gratitude and inspiration. This was followed by a heartfelt performance on the theme ‘Save Animals’, urging compassion and conservation. A classical dance and an enactment of the Pied Piper of Hamelin captivated the audience. The highlight of the evening was a Bhangra performance by the tiny tots.

Nankana Sahib Public School

The players of Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Road, brought laurels to the school by scoring the third position in the sahodaya kho-kho tournament 2024-25 held at Shifali International School. The boys U-19 team got the position out of 12 participating teams from different schools. School Principal Harmeet Kaur Waraich congratulated the team and the coaches. She said, “Daily practice polishes performance in sports. Moreover, sports always keep you active and enthusiastic and prepare you to face the challenges of life.”
