The government schools were all decked up as it was time for the quarterly parent-teacher meetings (PTMs). The schools made special efforts to attract the parents, who approached the teachers to know about the progress of their wards in respective classes.

As per the directions of the GST Department, a special lecture was organised at Government Senior Secondary School, Cemetery Road, to make the masses aware about the ‘Mera Bill App’ through which prize money was given to the lucky winners during the PTM. Ludhiana Assistant Commissioner GST Shiney Singh gave a lecture about the app and made the parents and teachers aware about taking the bill and its benefits. The parents asked several questions about the app, which were answered by the official.
