PAU student wins accolades at national event

Shah Mohammad Usman, a third-year PhD student at the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics in Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, won the ‘Best Poster Award’ at the 2nd National Genetics Congress held at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, recently.

Usman’s award-winning poster showcased cutting-edge research in plant genetics, earning accolades from his peers and other experts for its scientific depth, clarity, and potential impact on the field. His work highlighted the innovative strides in plant sciences and underscored the PAU’s commitment to advancing agricultural research.

PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal congratulated the student and his advisor, Dr Johar Singh, for conducting impactful research that reflected his academic excellence and dedication to the field.
