PAU student found dead in hostel

Ludhiana, July 28

The body of a student was found hanging in a hostel room of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in Ludhiana late on Sunday evening.

Other students staying in the hostel raised the alarm after seeing the hanging body. The hostel warden informed the police.

The police reached the spot and started a probe. The deceased was identified as Yogesh, a resident of Rajasthan. He was a student of first year of the Pathology Department.

The police questioned students staying in the hostel. The autopsy will be conducted after arrival of his family tomorrow. Sources said Yogesh was under some stress due to which he might had taken the extreme step. The police were also scanning his mobile details.
