MLA urges residents to celebrate ‘Green Diwali’

With the city engrossed in festivities, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi urged the residents to celebrate ‘Green Diwali’ by distributing saplings at Shingar Cinema road on Friday. MLA Prashar urged the residents to plant one tree each to mark the festival for a better future for the coming generations.

While distributing the saplings among the residents and commuters on Shingar Cinema road, MLA Prashar urged them to take up plantation drives in their respective areas and support the authorities in keeping the city clean and green.

Saying that the civic body is already working to redevelop parks/green belts across the city, MLA Prashar added that it was high time that we all take steps to save the environment for the future generations and plant as much trees as possible in our surroundings.
