MLA, MC chief hold meeting to expedite development works

For ensuring cleanliness across the constituency and expediting development works, Ludhiana South MLA Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal conducted a meeting with the officials concerned of the civic body at MC’s Zone C office on Gill Road here on Monday.

During the meeting, discussions were held for expediting development works and regarding steps which could be taken to ensure cleanliness across the constituency.

The MC officials were directed to check the attendance of staff on a daily basis and ensure regular lifting of garbage from static compactor sites and secondary dump sites of the MC. Building branch officals were directed to take action against illegal constructions.

They said people’s grievances must be resolved at the earliest. Further, they said steps were also being taken to expedite development works and ensuring cleanliness. For ensuring potable water supply to each and every household, new tube wells are also being installed in different parts of the constituency. They also emphasised regular cleanling of sewers, especially in areas where complaints regarding choked sewers were received frequently. — TNS
