Man’s murder case cracked, friend nabbed

With the arrest of Mohit Khanna (30) of Lakshmi Nagar in Haibowal, the Haibowal police claimed to have solved a murder that occurred on December 9.

The police have also recovered an iron rod and a Honda Activa scooter from the suspect.

Mohit and Mohammad Hanif (48), who were friends, used to sale and purchase animals. During a deal, differences erupted between the two and the former killed Hanif with an iron rod on December 9.

Investigating officer Madhu Bala said at Jassian village, Hanif had taken a land on rent from where he was working. He had business ties with Mohit. Both had differences over some financial matter. On Monday, they had an altercation, following which Mohit killed Hanif.
