The team of National Investigation Agency on Wednesday conducted a search at the house of Gagandeep Singh Gaggi at Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Khanna.

Gagandeep, a dismissed Punjab police constable, was the lone suspect and an alleged suicide bomber who got killed in a high intensity explosion at Ludhiana’s court complex on December 23, 2021. Gagandeep was reportedly planting bomb at court complex which went off accidentally and he got killed.

This is the old house of Gagandeep where he along with his family stayed for years but at the time of bomb blast at court complex, Gagandeep was living at his new house situated at Professor Colony in Khanna.

Team led by several NIA officials along with the cops of Khanna police raided the house at around 6 am.

NIA officials spent almost four hours in the house. While leaving the spot officials didn’t answer any media queries. Even the officials of Khanna police were tight lipped about the development.

A senior official of Khanna police requesting anonymity said that NIA had not informed the purpose of their raid

They had informed about raid after reaching Khanna and accordingly the required cops were deployed with the officials.

It is pertinent to mention here that after the identification of Gagandeep’s body, his connection with the ISI and the Sikh For Justice (SFJ) was also probed by the agency. Police had also interrogated some jailed militants and drug dealers to get clue about the mastermind.
