Leisha, Tushar, Shaurya adjudged best athletes at KVM sports meet

Leisha Bhalla was declared the best athlete in the girls’ category (senior section), while Tushar Pruthi and Shaurya Gumber were jointly named the best athletes in the boys’ category during the 80th annual sports meet of Kundan Vidya Mandir (KVM), Civil Lines, which concluded here on Saturday.

Nehru House bagged the best house title, while Subhash House claimed the second best house title in the senior section. Yogen Ahuja and Priyam Goel were adjudged the fastest runners in the boys’ and girls’ categories, respectively.

Subhash House was declared the best house, while Patel House was adjudged the second best house in the middle section. Lavanya Sethia and Jaiveer Handa were named the best athletes in the girls’ and boys’ categories, respectively.

Subhash House and Patel House bagged first two positions, respectively, in the primary section. Naksh Chopra was declared the best athlete in the boys’ category and Prajna Bopatra Gohain was adjudged best athlete in the girls’ section.

Anil Kumar Bhanot, ACP, Ludhiana Central, was the chief guest at the prize distribution function. He emphasised the importance of sports in promoting physical fitness, mental toughness and teamwork. He encouraged students to pursue their passion for sports and thrive for excellence in all their endeavors.
