Students from primary, middle and higher sections, representing different houses, took part in various sports disciplines and fun games on the second day of the 80th annual sports meet of Kundan Vidya Mandir (KVM), Civil Lines, here on Thursday.

Harjinder Singh Gill, ACP, Ludhiana South, was the chief guest today. Officiating principal SB Choudhary and faculty members accorded a warm welcome to the chief guest.

Students who brought fame at the national and international tournaments lit the “Kundan Jyoti” torch. It was followed by an oath-taking ceremony.

Day’s results

Lemon spoon race (primary section girls): Jessica (Tagore House) 1st, Mihsika (Gandhi House) 2nd and Nayra Gupta (Raman House) 3rd.

Long jump (middle section girls): Zoya (Patel House) 1st, Tashima (Subhash House) 2nd and Ananya (Nehru House) 3rd.

800m race (higher section boys): Tushar Pruthi (Nehru House) 1st, Gravil (Raman House) 2nd and Ranbir Singh Deosi (Raman House) 3rd.
